All our Catering Units are located very close to the Airports. All the units have been equipped with most modern communication facilities, which include wireless systems as well. All the units are having Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Butchery, Bakery, Tray Setup Area, Dish Washing Area, Holding Rooms etc, besides equipped with In - house Micro - biological Laboratories.

Customs Warehouses



We offer Customs Bonded Warehousing facility to the Airlines. We take care of entire responsibility and we will also provide space on rentals for storing equipments.
 

Modernization of Facilities

In 1998, the company embarked on an ambitious plan to modernize and expand all its existing facilities. This was to meet the company’s objective of upgrading its properties, equipment, processes and training concepts to its human resources to meet the evolving new trends and changing expectations of the Aviation Industry in general and the In-flight services in particular.

The expansion plans were carried out, notwithstanding the company looking at backward and forward integration in the supply chain solutions. This has opened new vistas of opportunities in diverse but related fields of Catering.

Providing Marketing Support For Airlines

Saj Flight Services was the first catering company to promote the Onam festival in the year 1988 in conjunction with Air India, this over the years became a marketing tool for all Kerala bound Domestic and International Airlines. The supply of Onam delicacies and mouth watering delights on board the Aircraft became indispensable for all the Airlines during the Onam festive season. During August 2002, Saj Flight Services was involved in arranging Onam Food Festival in the cities of Trivandrum and Cochin for Air India, Oman Air, Qatar Airways and Gulf Air. This was done in synchronization with the Marketing and the Sales departments of the respective Airlines. Going by the response received from the trade industry, commercial accounts and the frequent flying Passengers, it was perceived to be a huge success. Air India Country Manager had requested to arrange a special presentation, which was graced by H. E. Mr. Roy Paul, the Air India Chairman who also happens to be holding the coveted office of the Secretary, Department of Civil Aviation, and Government of India. The near total Vegetarian fare was specially prepared under the expert guidance and care of Mr. Anil Kumar the Corporate Chef of Saj Flight Services, and expert culinary master who is sponsored by various TV channels to demonstrate Cookery lessons to its Malayali viewers.

Support Services

Our mission is to provide complete services to the airlines on competitive prices without engaging several agencies on account of security. Apart from the core competence of in-flight catering, the company has branched out into aviation related services such as Custom Bonded Ware House Facility, transportation including hi-lift trucks, cabin cleaning services, ground catering services to delayed passengers etc.

All our warehouses located in our units are holding License from Custom authorities to store Airline equipments, consumable and non-consumable items. This facility will help all international carriers from not availing separate custom bonded warehouse by incurring additional expenditure.

Training Programme

The Company has an on-going Training program for all its over 1000 unskilled and skilled employees apart the mandatory annual Medical check-up takes for all its Food Handlers employees
